Yes, we offer strictly removing and reinstalling the engine when a bracket is purchased from us with installation included. We do not disconnect or connect electrical components and boats need to come already disconnected from power source and hydraulics. We advise this is done by your outboard engine mechanic.
Approximately 4 weeks, depending on the complexity of the job. Most brackets have a 3-week build time, plus a 1-week powder coating time. We consistently keep you updated on the progress.
If you choose to mount the bracket yourself, we will provide you with an Installation Kit. It includes a set based on the bracket purchased. This can include stainless steel ½” Bolts, lock nuts, flat washer and aluminum backing plates, as well a template to align and drill the holes on the transom of your boat.
The process of powder coating is different from painting a boat, so matching the exact color can be difficult. We advise clients to select a neutral color like snow white, white or off-white and then apply the non-skid in the same color as the boat since non-skid is given with Awlgrip and can be exactly matched to the paint code of the one used for your boat.
For most boats, we do not need it to be physically present to build the bracket. We simply need a few measurements from your side to build. If the boat is located locally, then we can send someone to get the measurements.
We are happy to do it for you! We use a simple formula of L x W x H divided by 231. This works best for rectangular and square tanks. For irregular shapes, please contact us to determine the gallons it holds.
Yes! If requested by the client, we can epoxy the fuel tank using a two step process: first is primer and second is final coat using Sherwin Williams marine grade epoxy.
